At just 22 years old, Caitlin Clark turned heads and stole the spotlight at Monday night’s WNBA Draft — even making her NFL boyfriend, Sam McCaffery, a little envious. Dressed head-to-toe in sleek Prada, Clark rocked a satin mini-skirt and jacket combo, topped with a shimmering tube top and classic black heels. Her fashion-forward look was nothing short of iconic.
When asked how he felt about her red-carpet ensemble, McCaffery let emojis do the talking — opting for a series of wide-eyed and overwhelmed faces, clearly in awe of his girlfriend’s bold style.
Though it’s unclear exactly when their relationship began, the couple went public in August 2023, sharing a sweet Instagram snap aboard a boat. Clark captioned the photo: “The perfect end to summer.”
But Clark didn’t just win the fashion game on draft night — she made headlines on the court, too. The Iowa Hawkeyes alum was officially drafted by the Indiana Fever, marking the next big chapter in her basketball journey.
In an emotional interview with ESPN, Clark admitted feeling a mix of nerves and excitement ahead of the selection. “I’ve dreamed of this since third grade,” she shared. “It’s taken a lot of hard work, highs and lows, but right now, I’m just trying to soak it all in.”
After racking up an incredible 3,951 points during her college career, Clark became a household name. She led the Hawkeyes all the way to the 2024 NCAA championship game, though they fell to South Carolina in a tough 87–75 loss.
Following the game, Clark opened up on Instagram: “Winning at this level isn’t easy. By now, I probably understand that better than most.”
At the time, she was also supported by McCaffery, who posted a special tribute for her after the big game.
The author expressed their profound admiration for Clark by posting a photograph of him and a series of heart emojis.
